2006年10月20日，银丰集团在广西玉林市注册成立了“玉林银丰中药港投资 发展有限公司”。2009年3月投资18亿占地320亩的银丰中药港主体市场建成，玉 林中药材专业市场整体搬迁运营。市场是国家卫生部、国家中医药管理局、国家工 商总局、国家食品药品监督管理局等多部委联合批准的首批八个国家级中药材市场 之一，市场交易额位居全国前三。2014年国家中药协会正式授予玉林“中国南方药 都”称号。

Yulin Yinfeng TCM Harbor Investment and Development Co., Ltd. was  incorporated in Yulin City of Guangxi by Yinfeng Group on October 20, 2006. The  major marketplace of Yinfeng TCM Harbor, with an investment of CNY 1.8 billion  and covering an area of 21.33 hectares approximately, was completed in March  2009, and the whole Yulin Chinese Medicinal Herbs Market was subsequently  relocated and put into operation. Yulin Chinese Medicinal Herbs Market is  one of the first eight national herbal medicine markets jointly approved by the  Ministry of Health, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine,  the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the State Food and Drug  Administration and other ministries and commissions, and ranks among the top  three in the country in terms of market turnover. In 2014, Yulin City was officially  awarded the title of “China Southern Medicine Capital” by China Association of  Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The first phase of the market covers an area of 11.67 hectares approximately,  with a total investment of CNY 650 million and a total built-up area of 230,000  square meters, and has a total of more than 2,855 shop fronts, of which more  than 2,200 are presently in operation. The market deals with around 3,000  varieties of Chinese medicinal materials, mainly divided into medicines from  plants (herbs), animals and ores. Chinese medicinal materials of the market are  sold well throughout the country and exported to Japan, South Korea, Vietnam,  Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and other Southeast Asian regions. In 2022, the  market boasted an annual turnover of Chinese medicinal materials of about CNY  12 billion, ranking as one of the top three medicinal herbs markets in China. The  second phase of the market is the Yinfeng Headquarters Town, which covers an  area of about 9.67 hectares with a total investment of over CNY 1 billion and a  total built-up area of about 180,000 square meters. The town can accommodate  more than 260 pharmaceutical enterprises. It consists of six major sections：medical and health care, innovative industries, e-commerce, high-end services,  culture and education, and supporting services. The economic service center  of the Yuzhou Regional Headquarters, the incubation base and the tonic diet  commercial block are located in the town.

In order to promote the culture of traditional Chinese medicine and make  the China Southern Medicine Capital develop better, a 20,000-square-meter  China Southern Medicine Capital Expo Centre has been built in the market, which  houses the China Southern Medicine Capital Exhibition Centre. With the strong  support of the Yulin Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, an  international TCM exposition has been held here every year since 2009. Through  the success of the exposition, a trinity of TCM brand exhibition, Chinese medicinal  herbs market and TCM industry has been created.

The market’s industrial support continues to improve, and the presence  of Alibaba’s e-commerce platform for Yulin TCM industrial belt has made the  market become more international, technicalized and informationized. In 2013,  Chinese Herbal Medicine Testing Center (Yinfeng TCM Harbor) of Yulin Institute  for Food and Drug Control, which is the largest one of its kind in southwestern  China, was completed in accordance with national CNAS standards, pioneering  the first model in the country for industry regulators to conduct on-site technical  supervision in market to ensure the quality of herbal medicine, and providing  technical support for thesupervision of Chinese herbal medicine. In January 2021,  the Yulin TCM (and Spices) Inspection Platform, which is jointly built by the market  and a subsidiary company of Yinfeng Group, was put into operation to provide  inspection and testing, personnel training, product R&D and other technical  support services for the platform’s pharmaceutical enterprises and merchants,  creating a quality inspection platform to serve Yulin’s massive health industry.  The Ministry of Commerce has promoted a Chinese Herbal Medicine Origin  Traceability project in the four major Chinese herbal medicine markets nationwide  and construction of the first phase has been completed, which promotes the  market’s strategic transformation to one based on Internet plus TCM.
